The Valve Pipeline is a new idea by Valve created in order to help and forge a connection between Valve and the community who may wish to get a job in the game industry. It is also partly an experiment to see if a bunch of high school students can be trained to work at a company like Valve.

According to the official website:

“We want to establish a connection to the world of teenagers that are asking many questions about getting into the gaming industry. We look to answer many of these questions and are willing to reach out to the community and give them the information they need.”

If you want to know more information the site is encouraging people to sign up to its newsletter so they can be periodically updated with what is going on.

This is awesome news, not only does it allow us to have a look at the inner workings of Valve but also could be a great starting point for young budding game designers who want to know more about the industry!
