Ubisoft Announced Panzer General Online

Ubisoft recently announced the development of Panzer General Online, a new turn-based strategy game based in the well-known Panzer General franchise. The title will be playable via web browsers.

Panzer General Online is being developed by Ubisoft’s Blue Byte studio, in collaboration with Funatics Software. Blue Byte is a veteran studio who are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. Panzer General Online is the studio’s fifth free-to-play browser-based game which gives players total control of every facet of war, including airplanes, infantry, tanks and all sorts of other military hardware, allowing players to command units through historically-inspired battles. Panzer General Online will contain both single-player and multiplayer modes, with the single-player campaign functioning as an advanced tutorial that allows the player take part in famous historical battles such as Omaha Beach and Monte Cassino. Panzer General Online also incorporates elements of trading card-based games of all things, meaning players can collect and trade virtual miniatures of tanks, infantry and artillery to create their own army. It’s like Yu-Gi-Oh for history buffs.
