Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Phantoms Coming to Steam

Ubisoft have announced today that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Phantoms is heading to Steam and PC, and has a lot more to offer than ever before.

Originally titled Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Online back in 2012 as it entered beta, Ghost Recon Phantoms has since been under development and evolved into something entirely new. The game has come so far so that the team at Ubisoft Singapore even felt it deserved a new identity, and so ‘Phantoms‘ came to be.

Ghost Recon Phantoms has been improved with a mountain of new features added and changes made to its original design. There are new character classes, gear and customisation options available, with even more promised to come following the games release next month. Matchmaking has also seen a huge overhaul, with matches being determined by both skill and gear, so that Ghost Recon Phantom is not only more enjoyable but a more balanced experience for everyone.

The graphics and style have seen a significant improvement, with a heavy focus on level design and lightning to create the perfect environments for players to enjoy. Character designs have been enhanced to look more ‘modern and badass,’ further immersing players in the realistic near-future battlefields that they will find themselves in.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Phantoms will be available worldwide on April 10th. If you can’t wait that long for a taste of the strategic shooter action, you can always play Ghost Recon Online now, for free.
