Last years “The Walking Dead” game was a critical darling. Taking many players on one hell of an emotional ride that took place in the comic universe without interacting much with it. Sure the occasional character would turn up for a bit, but the game was mostly its own self-contained story about Lee and Clementine. TellTale’s next game however isn’t taking that route.

Their next game, based on the comic series “Fables” by Bill Willingham, is being released this summer under the name “The Wolf Among Us”. Set before the first issue of the comic, newcomers to the series won’t feel out of place in the story. Players will control Bigby Wolf, exiled like the rest of his fairytale kind to a hidden community in New York.

Bigby, previously known as Big Bad Wolf (yeah THAT wolf), is the Sheriff and will be dealing keeping the fable community in line and hidden from the world of the mundanes. Having to answer to the deputy major Snow White and deal with characters such as Mr Toad and the three pigs, it is something not played everyday.

The first episode of The Wolf Among Us will be coming to PC, Mac, PS3 and Xbox 360.
