The Canadian actor Danny Wells, know by gamers for years as the loveable Luigi, has sadly passed away at the age of 72. First seen by gamers on the Super Mario Brothers Super Show as not only the voice of Luigi but his live action counterpart as well, Danny was a talented actor and voice actor who continued to work in various televison shows, films and games until his recent passing.

“That’s momma Luigi to you!”

Corny? Yes. Cheesy? Yes. Big part of a 90’s kid’s childhood? Most definitely. A sad but almost poetic end to the Year of Luigi, thanks for the memories Danny and may you rest in peace.
