Well, it’s official now, The Last of Us is the fastest selling game on the PlayStation 3! Sony are quoted on saying that:

“(The Last of Us) surpassed all sales expectation to become the fastest-selling PS3 title of 2013. In addition, it’s also become the fastest selling new software title in the history of PlayStation 3.”

This is so impressive that even Major Nelson has to admit, its a pretty cool achievement!

Finally, Shuhei Yoshida, the President of Worldwide Studios, also had something to say about the impressive numbers:

“The teams at Naughty Dog are true visionaries and their storytelling capabilities are second to none, this title is an undisputed demonstration of that. SCE continues to be committed to delivering unique gameplay experiences that redefine the interactive entertainment industry and The Last of Us is a perfect example.”

We at VGU could not agree more since The Last of Us has one of the highest scores out of all the games we have reviewed so far!
