Super Meat Boy Galaxy Ransomed For Samaritans

by on November 22, 2012

The Super Meat Boy Galaxy prototype can now be yours for a donation to UK based charity, Samaritans.

The infamously difficult and ultra-rage induced platformer has now been thrown into a mario-esque 3D world which has surprisingly turned out impressive thus far.

It was origianally created over at Preloaded by Aubrey Hesselgren for Super Meat Boy’s programmer for his 30th birthday.
It was later announced via Hesselgren’s blog that he has set a goal to raise £10,000 for the charity and will be holding the game “ransom” until the target has been met…or he’ll end up releasing the game either way as he mentioned he’s pretty bad with ransoms.

Either way, given the amount of sales going on for Black Friday, maybe chip in and donate some of your savings to play this plus support a good cause!
The Samaritans is a help line charity providing confidential emotional support for people experiencing distress and/or despair and they also provide a suicide prevention support line.

Aubrey has already set up a page for donations here. So go and donate to play this interesting prototype, also support the fact their might be a fully fledged game appearing soon!
