Splinter Cell Echoes Comic Series to Launch in July

Dynamite Entertainment have announced through The Hollywood Reporter, that Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Echoes, a short four-issue comic series, will be launching this July. Originally bundled in with the collector’s edition of Splinter Cell: Blacklist, this new publishing of Echoes will feature added material, and will be available both digitally and in stores.

The comic’s story takes place between the events of Splinter Cell: Conviction and Blacklist, following Sam Fisher as he struggles to piece his life back together, with a particular focus on his relationship with his daughter. However, when a terrorist organisation rears its ugly head, Fisher is called in to do what he does best.

Written by Nathan Edmondson and illustrated by Marc Lamin, Echoes was placed in safe hands when it was first bought into fruition last year. Edmondson commented on his view of the comic, stating “I’m telling a full and original story that stands on its own as an action-espionage tale that we’re both proud of, bringing a narrative element to the thrill of the game in a way that only a comic can do.”

The first issue, Splinter Cell Echoes #1, will be available from July 2nd.
