Sniper Elite: Zombie Army now unleashed in Germany

Independent UK developer Rebellion has today announced that Sniper Elite: Zombie Army has finally been released in Germany for PC.

An edited edition of recent Steam best-seller Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army, the game features the same intense co-operative campaign that’s proved hugely popular with PC gamers since its release in February, while removing the Nazi symbols banned by German law.

The developer worked closely with the German authorities to ensure this edition of the game retained its atmospheric setting and fast-paced action whilst respecting local law. Rebellion CEO and Creative Director Jason Kingsley said:

“We’re delighted we can bring Sniper Elite: Zombie Army to gamers in Germany so soon after the original’s release in other territories. The occult Nazi horror was crucial to the creative vision we had for the game and we were aware that some of the Nazi imagery would probably prevent it being released there, so I’m really proud of the work our development team has done to ensure the edited edition shares the same atmosphere and gameplay of the original”.

Key features:

• German edition of Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army with a tweaked name and Nazi symbols removed
• the original edition was a top-seller on Steam during its release in February 2013 and praised by players and critics for its intense co-op gameplay
• includes exactly the same campaign and four-player cooperative features of the original.
