Rumour: Konami Quits AAA Production

First Kojima departed the company, then we lost Silent Hills and now Konami have dropped this bombshell. According to French site; Gameblog, the publication best known for the Metal Gear and the Silent Hill series has decided to halt production for all major AAA game production with the exception of the Pro Evolution Soccer series.

It has been known for some time that Konami plan to drift their focus to the mobile gaming market, but it was also known from Konami that they would still produce games for all different platforms, including the home console market.

As previously stated, the company will still go through with plans to create the newest entry in the PES series; Pro Evolution Soccer 2016, which launched in North America earlier this month, the title was released for Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.

We will confirm this rumour as soon as we know more.
