(N.B. The monthly games chart is based on titles released and reviewed in the last month. The apps chart is based on titles reviewed over the last three months. Hence, this is not a cumulative chart and earlier released titles may have higher scores.)
Letter Attack is the highest-scoring game in April’s iPad Qi game chart. The word game business is on a bit of a high at the moment, and heftyApps’s attempt is a worthwhile addition to the genre. Not far behind at #3 is Gemini Rue, yet another classic point-and-click adventure game that has successfully made the jump to iOS. This masterful sci-fi detective story has the critics hooked. In fourth spot, the maker of Badland takes one-button gameplay to all new levels of artistry. Featuring an enchanting silhouette art style and a mysterious world, Frogmind’s game is a tactile delight. Finally, we have the much-anticipated sequel to an iOS great. Yes, in Cut the Rope: Time Travel we witness the return of the candy-chomping Om Nom. This time around, though, he’s accompanied by a variety of time-displaced partners, which mixes up the physics-puzzling rather nicely.
