PS4 Video Capture Could Still Be Possible

Earlier in the week, Sony had released a statement saying that the PS4 will not allow gamers to capture their gameplay and share it on sites such as YouTube. Although the console can be linked to facebook, Twitch and many other services, YouTube is not confirmed to be a service attached to the console for video sharing as of yet.

However a tweet was released by Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Computer Entertainment. He tweeted saying:

“We’d like to keep gamers happy and are considering every possibility regarding PS4’s gameplay capture. We’ll update you as soon as ready.”

This is out of response from a backlash of gamers that stream content on YouTube, including one of the big publishers of video game content Machinima. This does not confirm whether the console will allow you to share and/or capture your content on launch but it is at least being looked into. The share button could just become more powerful.

So what are your thoughts on this update concerning the PS4’s video capture capabilities? Do you think they will allow the use of third party recording devices? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
