PS3 and PS Vita Cross-Play Game Warrior’s Lair Has Been Cancelled

PlayStation 3 and PS Vita title Warrior’s Lair has been confirmed as cancelled after a long period of uncertainty over it’s future. IGN spoke with a Sony Spokesperson who had this to say:

“Sony Computer Entertainment can confirm that Warrior’s Lair for PS Vita is no longer in development,” a Sony representative told us. “We apologize to those who pre-ordered the title and ask that they contact their retailer directly to cancel their pre-sale.”

“The line-up of PS Vita first-party and third-party content remains strong with more than 85 titles scheduled to launch for the system by the end of 2013 including Killzone: Mercenary, Tearaway, Doki Doki Universe, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, Flower, The Walking Dead, and more.”

Warrior’s Lair’s future has been uncertain ever since it’s original developers Idol Minds closed up shop. Since then it was thought that Sony San Diego were finishing up the title but with the game being a no show at the last two E3 conferences it’s future looked bleak. So there we have it, a moment of silence for Warriors Lair and all those games who fall in the line of duty. RIP.
