Back in 1999, the sales of the Nintendo Game Boy were driven by arrival of the Pokemon games. Whether you owned the Red or Blue versions of the game, catching all 150 Pokemon was a challenge to be relished. The Yellow version also added to the hype, introducing several elements from the anime adaption of the games. If you have been wanting to play the original adventures once more, Nintendo have decided to release them on the 3DS Virtual Console next year.

No price point has been announced, but if it is anything like the premium games such as the Legend of Zelda Oracles titles currently available, it is likely that each version will sell for approximately £5.49. If you want to go back to the first generation of Game Freak’s wonderful franchise, the digital versions of the games will be released on February 27th 2015.
