In news that many PlanetSide fans have been waiting for, the long-awaited beta of PlanetSide 2 is going live on PS4 on the 20th of January. Importantly, this will be a closed beta to mainly test servers, performances, how the UI works with a DualShock 4, control settings and so on. All Beta players will gain access to the exclusive PS2 Beta forums, to register their thoughts and feedback about the console version of this MMOFPS.

If you wish to participate in the Beta, go to the official PlanetSide 2 website and sign up to be considered for the Beta. The invites are going out in waves to ensure that the servers are overloaded so you’ll get your invites, depending on when you signed up.

Assuming we get into the Beta, expect a write-up of our thoughts and feelings when it concludes.
