Pixel Piracy Studios Gives Permission to Pirate the Game

The developers of Pixel Piracy Vitali Kirpu and Alex Poysky are offering a free torrent of their game to download from their official site.

In a statement on the official Pixel Piracy website the developers write:

“We believe that anyone who wants to pirate our game will do so anyways, and feel it’s a much safer bet to offer those people the official link to our game in hopes that they keep their computer’s virus free.”

The game would usually cost $10/$15 but the developers add: “not everything is about money, and we want to thank those that pirate our title and actually give them the opportunity to do so with our blessing, while giving them an opportunity to actually make good on the piracy itself.”

Pixel Piracy is an open-ended pirate captain simulator, where players hire crews, create ships and plunder villages to become the most renowned pirate of the isles.
