Perfect World is updating the line up of playable maps on Blacklight: Retribution with the inclusion of Dropzone. Dropzone is a map inspired by the Zombie Studios classic game, Blacklight: Tango Down and encompasses close up to mid-range gameplay.

The map takes place on a metropolitan roundabout in the aftermath of the onslaught. Players will find the tight congested street a perfect place to lay an ambush for the unsuspecting agent. Those daring enough to take the high ground surrounding the statue will find good vantage points from which to snipe rival agents in hiding.

Because of the map’s small size, gameplay will be fast and frenetic. Hide from snipers inside a domed glass enclosure, or take the fight to streets filled with kill zones and chokepoints perfect for traps. The Drop Zone map supports the following game modes: DM, TDM, KOTH, LMS, LTS, S+D, CTF.

In addition to the new map, there is also a new level cap. The level cap takes a big ten point boost as you can go from level 40 to level 50. As you play you can also acquire the new titles and camouflage available, including the Bearded Ops novelty Camo.

Lastly there is the addition of brand new gear to take the fight straight to your enemies. With an emphasis on melee combat, the riot shield allows you to get up close and personal in complete safety as you can switch to a Sonic Tomahawk which can one shot a number of builds. If distance is more your thing however, you can use the thermal protection gear and the Cloak Mk.2 that will allow you to become invisible to heat signatures, the naked eye and infrared scopes.
