No Single Player DLC for Tomb Raider

Crystal Dynamics Global Brand Director, Karl Stewart, and Creative Director, Noah Hughes, recently had an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit where the citizens of Reddit were able to ask them any Tomb Raider related questions.

The biggest of the questions asks was in relation to future DLC that will be heading our way. The response from Karl was the following:

There are currently no plans in place for any Single Player expansions. All of our DLC is based around the multiplayer experience for now.

As you may expect, there was plenty of negative response to this answer from the community. They did not, however, completely rule out the possibility of single player DLC in the future, just that there are currently no plans for any.

In relation to the Tomb Raider DLC, Square Enix launched the first DLC pack, “Caves & Cliffs”, yesterday as a timed-exclusive for the Xbox 360. It is available for 400 Microsoft Points and offers three new multiplayer maps, Scavenger Carverns, Cliff Shantytown and The Burning Village. There is currently no release date for the PS3 of PC DLC.

Let us know what you think about the idea of no single player DLC for Tomb Raider. Is it a good or a bad thing? Or maybe you are happy to just receive multiplayer DLC?
