Ubisoft Toronto boss Jade Raymond tells the next Assassin’s Creed will not be set in a samurai historical era, but instead will be going to her favourite time period for the next instalment of the franchise, Raymond confirmed in a new AdWeek profile.

Assassin’s Creed 5 (a predicted title) may not be going to a feudal Japan, so where will it be set? Raymond is keeping that close to her chest for now, but she has teased the games setting is in her favourite historical era.

The Animus, a fictional virtual reality machine, allows the Assassin’s Creed series to be taken anywhere within the past, we have already seen The Third Crusade, Renaissance, American Revolution and more with many hoping to see the series taken into Egypt, World War II or feudal Japan.

The next title in the series is yet to be officially announced, nut rumours of two releases for the series came in December along with suggesting the franchise is under a re-scope. Where do you think the series will take us next?
