After 48 tiring hour’s straight, the VGU staff have done it! Three games made the best we could in that time are now available for you to see and download to try yourself!
First up we have Sarah and Trishul and their team of eight (including them and named Chicken Feed Studios) with a game called "That Son of a X", a game about love, heartbreak and moving on (with a side-helping of revenge). Getting over heartbreak isn't easy, especially when your heart has shattered into 4 pieces! Now you need to traverse the world and find the pieces of your heart, battling manifestations of that stupid ex's personality along the way. Give 'em hell!
Next up we have Ian and his team of eight (including him and named TEAM AWESOME) with their game called "Hearts vs Minds", a 2.5D isometric battle game, pitting two teams of robots against each other. One team contains Hearts, the other contains Brains, and they both hate each other, each team have to spawn at their spawner, beat the hell out of each other, then try to take out their opponent's base spawner to end the game!
Lastly we have Bradley and his team of four (including him and named Potassium, Elmo and Sneezing, P.E.A.S for short) with their game called "Sucky Surgeon", where you play a surgeon who uses an arcade crane to take out body parts from his patients and earn points based on how well you do! Designed for smartphones and tablets you use your devices gyro feature to move the crane claw and pull out peoples infected organs and other weird objects to get the best score you can before you accidently really hurt three patients, then its game over! Try not to be a sucky surgeon!
Some of these games should be available to download try out with more to follow so make sure to watch this space! Also, if you want to check out some other games made during the Jam head over to the Global Games Jam 2013 website for a full list of all the games made this year!
