After Ubisoft's rather bad weekend at keeping the lid on their new Assassins Creed game, they have now officially released the two trailers with more info and images.
Firstly however, here are the two trailers in question.
Ubisoft gave more information via press release. Assassins Creed IV will take place in 1715, during the golden age of the pirate era. Edward Kenway, father of Haytham and grand-father to Conner, is an ex-Royal Navy privateer who becomes a feared and respected pirate in the West Indies. He will rub shoulders with the likes of Blackbeard, Calico Jack and Benjamin Hornigold as he gets caught in the way between the Assassins and the Templars.
Players will be able to once again take to the seven seas aboard the "Jackdaw". Upgradable with new ammunition types and equipment as well as recruiting new crew-men. There will also be seamless transitions between attacking and boarding enemy ships.
Smaller additions include underwater exploration and the return of hunting. Multiplayer is also once again present, although it isn't exactly clear if naval warfare will factor into it at all.
The game will be available on PS3, Xbox 360, PC, WiiU, PS4 and presumably the next Microsoft console.Last modified on
