New Law Includes Refund Clause For Broken Video Games

Battles have long been raged in the modern age over the rights of customers who buy digital content. These issues have now been addressed in the UK, with the introduction of new clauses in the Consumer Rights Act. Thanks to these additional paragraphs, any physical or digital purchase that is proven to be faulty can be eligible for a full refund, as long as the action is made within thirty days of the initial transaction.

This new legislation does not just include video games, but given the problems present with releases such as the PC version of Batman Arkham Knight and Magicka, it is good to see that the public are at last being protected against losing money from non-working digital products. Do you think these changes are a good idea for the industry, or do you think that they should have been created with more care? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
