Mojang’s Minecraft has now reached more than 8 million combined sales on the Xbox 360 and has now been top of the UK charts for three weeks running. The only other games to have achieved the same this year are The Last of Us, Dead Island: Riptide and BioShock Infinite.

The news comes as the Xbox 360 version prepares for Title Update 12, with a long list of changes, additions and features which include a new tutorial world, a new AI for Mobs, Zombie sieges occurring at night and ocelots which will scare creepers into running away.
