Microsoft Reportedly Banned GTA Online Exploiters

Earlier this weekend WikiGameGuides posted a video showing people how to use an exploit that could earn people millions in minutes. Now, it’s been reported that some players who excessivly abused the bug are being banned.

A bug that allowed you to sell your motorcycle repeatedly for up to 33,500 each time meant people playing Grand Theft Auto Online were earning millions in a day.

There have been reports of those playing Grand Theft Auto Online on the Xbox 360 being banned, with one player allegedly calling up the Rockstar Support team and getting a response such as:

“We’re aware of the issue and until we can fix it, we’ll ban anyone with a history of abusing this design flaw. It will ruin others’ enjoyment by disbalancing the economy that’s vital to the Online experience. We’re in discussion with Microsoft, too, to escalate these bans from online privileges to user accounts as a statement against these antics. We don’t expect any outrage from the law-abiding playerbase who haven’t devalued others’ items and hard-work with an exploit – these the customers we are proud to help.”

What do you think of this issue, the internal economy is being compromised, how would you fix it? Let us know in the comments.
