Metro: Last Light On Steam Includes E-Book Of Metro 2033

by on April 27, 2013

The world of the Russian metro portrayed in Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light shows the bleak future of a yet to happen nuclear war. This deep world of inter-station politics and bare-bones survival originally comes from Dmitry Glukhovsky’s 2005 novel “Metro 2033″. While the hefty novel was only just translated into english in 2010, the novel is a great read for anyone who wants to learn more about the world and characters that the original game didn’t have the time to flesh out.

It is lucky then that the steam version of the game will come with a free e-book copy of the book. Given the size of the book this bonus will keep fans entertained who haven’t read the book long after the game is over. The book did spawn a sequel named “Metro 2034″, but Glukhovsky felt it wasn’t appropriate for the original’s sequel, so it bears no relation to 4A Games newest game.

What do you think? Will you be getting the game on steam? Will you be reading the book, or have you already read it? Tell us below in the comments.
