Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes arrived today in North America, so Konami saw fit to release the prologues launch trailer focusing on the story and Big Boss’s signature CQC.
With Big Boss infiltrating Camp Omega in Cuba to rescue Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker characters Chico and Paz, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes seems to be taking the series in a seemingly darker direction. Hot button topics such as Guantanamo Bay and the torture of those interned aren’t too far from the informed persons mind when faced with the location the game portrays.
Set as the prologue to next years Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Ground Zeroes is a taster of what Hideo Kojima has in store for us Early 2015. While the decision to release a much smaller game at a slightly reduced price has ruffled a few feathers, Kojima Productions have yet to release something that wasn’t on form.
Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will be out in Japan and Europe March 20, with Australia following on the 27. It will be available on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, the same as The Phantom Pain.
