Capcom have announced that Lost Planet 3, the long awaited sequel to Lost Planet 2 will release for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC digital download on August 30th with a PC retail version coming out September 27th.

You play as Jim Peyton, a utility rig pilot who works under a contract for NEVEC hoping to gather Thermal Energy to help save the Earth’s energy crisis. The game offers a gripping single player story as well as a whole load of multiplayer modes you can hop in to play with your friends, or against your enemies. You can also buy the official soundtrack from the game from iTunes or Amazon which is available now.
