Released in October, Lords of the Fallen garnered a mixed critical reaction, dividing some over its profound willingness to use game mechanics defined by the ridiculously-revered Dark Souls games.

Apparently Lords of the Fallen performed well enough for a sequel to be greenlit. According to Eurogamer, Producer Tomasz Gop posted the news on Facebook, saying  “We’re now working on vision and concepts for Lords 2.”

This is obviously the first stage and a game like Lords of the Fallen, a detailed 3rd-person action RPG, will take years to come to fruition. Fans of the original will be pleased, but it’s interesting to see if the game borrows as much or fewer elements from Dark Souls.
