Legacy Of Kain Series Returns In Nosgoth

The Legacy of Kain series hasn’t been seen since Legacy of Kain: Defiance in 2003, ending on a massive cliffhanger. With rumors of a new game coming soon making the rounds every few years, fans have had a rough ride. Square Enix has surprised everyone though with the announcement of a new Legacy of Kain game, but it may not be what fans expected.

Nosgoth, being developed by Psyonix, takes place after the opening events of Soul Reaver as Raziel lays at the bottom of the Lake of the Dead. During this time humanity is almost completely destroyed through a prolonged war with the vampires, and this is the basic premise.

Players will be able to choose between various vampire and human classes, with humans relying on ranged weaponry and teamwork, and vampires using brute force and other tactics. This is all free-to-play, with information about micro-transactions being released down the line.

The game will be released on Steam and you can sign up for the closed beta here.
