The pirate life was never glamorous, no matter how much games and movies try to tell us otherwise. Hard living for hard men at the best of times. That won’t stop us finding childlike glee in blowing up galleons in Ubisoft’s next Assassin’s Creed however.

Outlining some of the finer points of Assassin’s Creed IV: Blag Flag, Game Director Ashraf Ishmail walks us through a short walkthough of some gameplay. Thankfully this time the game doesn’t freeze to give a lacklustre ending.

Now if only Ubisoft cut all the pretense and just made a remake of Sid Meier’s Pirates like this.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is out on PS3, Xbox 360, Windows, Wii U, PS4 and Xbox One October 29th in NA and November 1st in EU.
