Kickstarter Launched for Yu-Gi-Oh! Licensed Game Wallet

4K Media, a subsidiary of Konami, and NECA, makers of licensed products, are working together in a new KickStarter project. The two companies are looking for $80,000 to create and distribute a licensed Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game wallet. The small zip up pouch is designed for players of the TCG to put all their extras such as dice, pens, calculators and token cards in to, meaning everything you need with your deck is in one handy place.

The KickStarter however isn’t just to begin manufacturing or build up interest, people who kick-start the card game wallet will be the only ones in the world able to receive one. The two companies have also done their homework, creating polls before the KickStarter to gather information from the player base so the product can be the best around. With the result creating a standard Game Wallet and one Elite edition Game Wallet which will be limited to 520 units.

We are excited to deliver the world’s finest game wallet designed specifically by Yu-Gi-Oh! players, for Yu-Gi-Oh! players,” said Alexis Mueller, Director of Business and Legal Affairs at NECA.

“Yu-Gi-Oh! has an extremely dedicated and loyal fan base and we strive to continually meet their needs and expectations,” said Jennifer Coleman, VP, Licensing & Marketing, 4KMedia. “We are proud to be able to work with NECA to get insight and opinions from Yu-Gi-Oh! players to create a product they have designed and are really looking forward to.”

So why do they need your money you may be asking yourselves? The companies explain in the KickStarter that the money gained allows them to use more specialized manufacturing techniques than they would get to use normally. Translating into a better product for everyone. With reward tiers that include other licensed Yu-Gi-Oh merchandise, such as bags and T-shirts, and even extra wallets, their is a lot of incentives to support the KickStarter for those interested. No stretch goals have yet been announced, but NECA and 4K Media promise to update the project with them in the future.
