UK based retailed HMV will be pulling out of the pre-owned games market. Remaining stock will be sold at a discount and stores will no longer buy games from customers.

This news is according to one branch talking to Eurogamer, as well as two other anonymous sources. Due to all of the sources going without names this news should be taken with a grain of salt.

It does make sense however seeing as HMV were in serious financial difficulties only two years ago. Removing part of the games market, which was never their main forte anyway, would be a good way of cutting additional costs.

It may be worth taking a trip to your local HMV to see if you can grab a bargain. If the prices are similar to the situation in late 2012/early 2013.
