Fancy winning legendary equipment for you and your team of merry men and women? Then the tournaments of legend might be the competition you are looking for. Allie Murdock, the community co-ordinator at Arenanet, has announced that the first Guild Wars 2 tournaments of legend will take place from April 26^th-27^th for Europe, and from 3^rd-4^th of May for North America.

The special competition gives the chance to participants and winners to be awarded with cool legendary items and much more goodies for the game. There will also be gifts available for viewers of the event.

The format for the tournament will be a best of three, single elimination style which will pit teams of 5 against each other. Only 16 teams per region will be allowed to participate and the competition will span over 4 rounds. These rounds will consist of a varied map rotation. The prizes for competing range from a legendary piece of equipment, 2000 gems, and 2 Black Lion Weapon Tickets for 1^st place, to a gift of magic or might, and 1 Black Lion Weapon Ticket for 5^th – 8^th place.
