GOG.com Adds Indie Submission Portal

GOG.com, the digital distribution outlet that prides itself on all its content being available DRM-free, has today announced that it will be allowing developers to submit their game more easily, as well as enter into a lucrative partnership. Developers can get an advance on royalties, as well as direct feedback from GOG.com staff and better marketing opportunities courtesy of their social media outlets.

The webpage features the submission button, as well as a video featuring developers of To The Moon, The Real Texas, Defender’s Quest and Driftmoon describing their experiences with GOG.com.

It could be quite a promising deal for indie developers, especially the advance on royalties which could be used to help polish up a game in its final stages of development.

Will this be a new opportunity for indie developers? Or have GOG.com opened the floodgates for less-than-stellar submissions? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
