Game Launches Free To Play Platform In The UK

Today, GAME Retail Ltd launches its free-to-play (F2P) platform to PC gamers, making it the first UK retailer to embrace the free-to-play opportunity.

Phase one of the launch will feature three EA games including: Need For Speed: World, Command & Conquer: Tiberium Alliances and Lord of Ultima and with many more titles in the pipeline, PC gamers are encouraged to watch this space for a growing array of F2P titles.

A spokesperson at GAME said: “Launching our initial free-to-play offering in partnership with EA is a significant step forward for us at GAME – we’re always looking to bring new ways of gaming to the UK’s gaming communities and we are working hard to make sure we can deliver in every digital arena – free-to-play is just the start.”
