Fallout 4 Players Won’t Need to Craft if They Don’t Want

Part of the Fallout 4 E3 announcement was the updated crafting system. Players are able to dismantle the objects that they find around the world and use the parts to piece together new weapons, upgrade their Power Armour or build that extension they want on their house.

With over 400 hours of playtime, you might wonder how much more you can spend crafting, that’s the good thing. You can choose to either go fully in or none at all.

“It’s a completely optional, free form thing that you can do, if that’s what you want to do,”

“If you don’t care about that and you just want to play quests and play side quests, and finish the main quest and that sort of thing then you can just ignore all of this [crafting]. Or do as much or as little as you want.”

– Pete Hines told GamesRadar.

You are able to progress through the game without having to craft a single thing, relying on merchants and loot is another choice if you choose.

Fallout 4 is coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One on November 10.
