Disney Abandons Star Wars 1313 Trademark

Disney has abandoned the Star Wars 1313 trademark according to an update to the United States Patent and Trademark Office website.

Star Wars 1313 was originally revealed at E3 2012 as LucasArt’s next-gen Star Wars based action adventure. Star Wars 1313 was then cancelled in April 2013 when Disney shut down LucasArts after buying out the rights to Lucasfilm and all Star Wars content for a cool $4.05 billion.

According to the Paten website, the trademark has been abandoned due to “no Statement of Use or Extension Request timely filed after Notice of Allowance was issued.” It is unsure whether this means the complete abandonment of the game or just the name.
