Many superhero games over the last few years have all received critical acclaim, but very few have featured on the female protagonists of the DC Comics. Sony Online Entertainment have decided to rectify this gap in the market, by announcing a new story mode DLC for DC Universe Online that focuses on these characters, who are facing off against against the Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons to protect Gotham City from her wrath.

In the new storyline, your character will ally with Wonder Woman and an army of renegade Amazons to ensure that Gotham is kept safe. As well as a new assortment of characters, a new open area will be made available, and several enhancements will be made to the experience of every player, whether they subscribe to the game, or are you using the free-to-play system.

If you are a Member of the online game, the DLC will be made available free of charge later this year on PC, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4. If you are part of the free or premium subscription crowd, you will have to purchase the content via the appropriate digital storefront.
