With gamescom 2015 the biggest yet come to a close From Software’s unforgiving Dark Souls III snapped up the award for Best Role Playing Game. Examined by independent international experts, Dark Souls III was able to win against 4 other games in competition for the Best Role Playing Game title.

From challenging game play, art style and its dark setting are just some of the things that have won over gamers, the media and critics.

At gamescom 2015, visitors were able to get their hands on the game for the first time and in true Dark Souls fashion, fight to survive the deadly world of Dark Souls III.

Dark Souls III is slated for release in early 2016 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
