“Doug TenNapel, creator of Earthworm Jim and The Neverhoodhas partnered with Pencil Test Studios, to create what some have called The Neverhood’s “spiritual successor” – a clay and puppet animated adventure game called ARMIKROG.”

The game is a point and click adventure game which features a space explorer named Tommynaut and his blind alien, talking dog named Beak-Beak after they crash land on a “weird planet” and end up locked in a mysterious fortress called Armikrog.

It is great to see this game succeed and, that thanks to the amount gained reaching a stretch goal, that the game will be released on the Wii U as well via the eShop. An adventure game would work extremely well on the Wii U and I am excited to some of the features being applied to the Wii U’s control scheme as you can see on the Kickstarter page.

Armikrog will be available DRM-free for PC , Mac and Linux, and distributed though GOG.com, The Humble Store and several other digital platforms including Steam. You can vote to add Armikrog to Steam now as well via Steam Greenlight.

Armikrog is looking to be something awesome and we at VGU cannot wait to give a try!

But what do you think? Does Armikrog look good to you? Will you be playing it when it comes out? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
