In yet more news from Intelligent Systems, their steampunk 3rd person strategy game, Codename S.T.E.A.M, will allow Fire Emblem amiibos to join the battle as special robotic fighters. Characters like Ike, Marth, Robin and Lucina will be able to be recruited, if players on a New 3DS XL touch their desired amiibo to the touchscreen.

The characters will have specific weapons and moves that align with their games so Marth wields his Falchion and Rapier, while Ike can use Ragnell to inflict massive damage. Like Fire Emblem however, these characters cannot be revived in battle and must be re-scan after a campaign mission to use them again.

Codename S.T.E.A.M is set to release in the US on March 15th, with Europeans getting the game sometime in May.
