Ubisoft Montreal’s new side-scroller, Child of Light, has been officially announced with an new trailer titled “Beware of the Night”. First heard of rather quietly last month, Child of Light is being lead by Patrick Plourde, creative director of Far Cry 3. Making use of Rayman Legends’ UbiArt engine, the new side-scroller appears to make use of turn based RPG combat and side-scrolling exploration to bring us a game which contrasts Plourde’s previous games. Child of Light is due for release in 2014 for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Wii U and PC.
