Capcom Sells 2 Million Copies of Monster Hunter 4 in Japan

Capcom’s Monster Hunter 4 has sold over 2 million copies of Monster Hunter 4 in just four days states the publisher. This places the games sales far closer to it’s estimated 2.8 million sold by March 2014 than expected. The sales include digital copies, with the game being placed at number 3 in the 3DS eshop chart although no further details on this side of things has been revealed. Capcom has concluded that these sales are, “highest ever for any third-part Nintendo 3DS title in Japan.”

Whilst the series has not quite made it abroad the Monster Hunter IP does not struggle at all in the Japanese market where the game has several PR events and mass interactions with the games community during every release. Whilst very positive, Capcom has admitted that sales have been lackluster across the board and that alterations to the companies decision making must be undertaken next financial year.
