There are already numerous jokes about how Call of Duty is a copy and pasted franchise, delivering the same experience year after year. Now a very real case of rehashing old work has appeared in the recently released Call of Duty: Ghosts. Beware Lie Spoilers Below.

The two above cutscenes bear a remarkable amount of similarities. Animations for both the player and supporting characters are exactly the same. The original (left) cutscene is taken from near the ending of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a game that came out in 2009 and was also made by Infinity Ward. It may not be a case of copy and pasting for the sake of it however, with many players calling it a “tribute” to an older game in the series.
