Ever wanted to play as Blackbeard? Well an Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag DLC Pack will let you play as Mr Thatch in the multiplayer component of Ubisoft’s pirate adventure.

Blackbeard’s Wrath, as reported by Eurogamer, will be a multiplayer centered DLC update, adding three new characters: The Jaguar, The Orchid and Blackbeard.

Achievements related to the DLC were also recently uploaded to PS3Trophies, which also included the Trophies for Freedom Cry, another bit of downloadable content focusing on Adewale.

Multiple sources are citing that this as a leak, but the Lead Games Designer on the games multiplayer, Tim Browne, has tweeted that the details were announced some time ago.

I like seeing that a leaked piece of information about the upcoming DLC for AC4 lets you play as Blackbeard. We announced that weeks ago 🙂
