The video shows us how Ubisoft’s Anvil Next engine can create ocean movement, and how the global illumination lights the scenes. Particularly of interest is the fact that, when it rains in AC4, each raindrop has its own lighting. Assassin’s Creed IV is looking stunning so far, and the colours of the Caribbean are helping Ubisoft to show off the game’s PS4 and Xbox One incarnations.  Also of note is the the way the game can create a playable pathway between two ships on the fly, meaning the boarding scenarios will be dynamic rather than formulaic.
