It has been 15 years since Amazon UK opened it’s online doors to us all. Ignoring how scary the thought that Amazon has already existed online for that long we have been treated to some interesting, ‘Top 10 lists’ from the company. These go from music to fashion products to, of course, gaming. These are the best selling titles in 15 years.

- Call of Duty: Black Ops
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Call of Duty: Black Ops II
- FIFA 10
- FIFA 13
- FIFA 12
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
- Zumba Fitness
If we are being honest, the list is not at all that surprising. Considering mass online purchases and pre-orders has only really taken off in the last 5 to 6 years it makes sense that the Call of Duty series benefited most from the Amazon boom.
Ketu Patel, Video Games & Software Category Leader at Amazon.co.uk ltd commented on the list,
“Call of Duty, Grand Theft Auto and FIFA are three of the largest entertainment franchises in the world, so it’s no surprise to see them dominating the top ten best-selling games chart. The success of Skyrim suggests that there is a real appetite for epic fantasy games, whilst Zumba Fitness’s appearance in tenth place shows just how big Nintendo Wii’s fanbase is in the UK.”
Indeed apart from perhaps Skyrim and Zumba very little is at all that shocking from the Top 10. We will see if this alters in the coming years. What do you think of Call of Duty dominating the charts? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
