HBO today announced that a new card game based on the hit vampire show True Blood is in the works. A Night Eternal: A True Blood Card Game casts players as an immortal in the show’s world, aligning with either the Authority faction or its rival, the Monarchy. The game is based on “conspiracy, tactics and duplicity” even allowing players to make big power plays and betray their faction.

Defections, deception and betrayal play a large part of the game, which is designed to mirror the espionage, the scandal,  and the intrigue of the show’s vampire politics.
