English Dub Of Danganronpa 3 Anime To Air This Summer

Last year, Spike Chunsoft revealed that the third chapter in the Danganronpa franchise would take place outside of a video game in the form of an anime series. It later transpired that the series is split into two distinct arcs which will air back to back. The first arc, named the Side:Future, would take place directly after the events of Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair and conclude the Hope’s Peak Academy narrative. The second arc, named Side:Despair shows how the Remenants of Despair were recruited to perform the attacks on the world that have become known as the Biggest, Most Awful, Most Tragic Event in Human History.

The Japanese dubs of both series began to air on Funimation’s video streaming site this week, and according to a press release by the company, an English language dub will be aired on their services from August 10th. For reasons unknown, the UK will have to wait until August 11th to be able to view the content, but it is a small price to pay for receiving an official adaption of a highly anticipated anime continuation. The official cast list for the English adaptions has not yet been revealed, but it is highly likely that Bryce Papenbrook will reprise his role as Makoto Naegi, as he is the only voice actor to have officially voiced the character in every English language appearance.
