A few months ago, we saw North America receive four new games to their   Nintendo Selects range, formerly known as the Player’s Choice catalogue. Essentially, when a game sells over a certain amount of copies, it becomes eligible for the Nintendo Selects programme. If the developer agrees, the game can be reprinted and sold a lower price to entice more players to take a chance on their product.

Earlier today, Nintendo fans in Europe have also received some additions to their Selects range. These games now retail at £19.99 in stores, and on the Nintendo eShop. First to be announced is Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, which is the only title that has come across from American selection. Next to be enlisted is New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U, which is a combination of the debut Wii U Mario game and it’s expansion pack in one fun filled bundle.

If you are in the mood for a celebration, then Wii Party U provides a selection of mini games for the whole family, as well as unique Gamepad modes and a board game mode akin to Mario Party. For the solo adventurers among us, you can choose either The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, a beautifully remastered version of a Gamecube classic, or LEGO City Undercover, a sandbox action adventure game that is full of collectables, comedy and brick based puzzles to complete.
